Cook toovar dal-washed thoroughly & soaked for 20mins.
Pressure cook & blend it.
Take oil 2tbspns & 1 tbspn ghee.
Chop 2 small onions lengthwise.
Chop fine 1/2" ginger, 2 cloves of garlic-cut into lengthwise segments
Heat oil, fry the 1 portion onions red, add the rest, zeera, garlic & diced ginger & hing
Before giving the tadka, add 1/2 tspn chilly powder, now saute.
Optionally garnish with green masala
